Tamansari is located about 2 km south of Yogyakarta Palace. Built by Portuguese architect in European aquatic construction adorned with Javanese Symbolize ornaments. Tamansari was built in the Sultan Hamengku Buwono I period in the end of XVII Century. Tamansari not only just a recreation, but it’s also a compound of bathing pool, canals, rooms and extremerly large swimming pool.

CANDI SEWU

Sewu Temple is located 2 km north of Prambanan Temple. This is the second largest Buddhist Temple complex in Java; Restoration is professionally underway to reach its original form. It is a MANDALA, manifesting the universe in the center temple of Mahadeva, surrounded by four rings of 250 smaller temples of Gods. Sewu Temple complex is located in Prambanan Temple Park area, about 800 meters to the north of Rara Jongrang Temples. The fact that this temple was built near Prambanan Temple, which is a Hindu temple, indicated that the Hindus and Buddhists lived in harmony.

KRATON YOGYAKARTA (SULTAN PALACE)

Built in the middle of the 18^th century, this walled-city serves as the home of the sultans of what remains of the Mataram kingdom to this day. The palace is open to guided tours for properly dressed guests. Inside you’ll find many shady courtyards connected by beautifully decorated covered walks. Of particular interest are the ornate reception halls as well as the large open air pendopos for listing to gamelan performances. You’ll also find a small air-conditioned room where the desk at which the ninth sultan planned the overthrow of the Dutch is enshrined. Also interesting is the gallery displaying the royal family tree and photographs of many members. We thought the painting of the eighth sultan on his circumcision day to be particularly curious.There’s also an extensive display of the ninth sultan’s mememtos, including his favorite cooking utensils. Another gallery displays the gifts from various state visits.

JALAN MALIOBORO

Malioboro Street) is a major shopping street in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, the name is also used more generally for the neighborhood around the street. It runs north from the Yogyakarta kraton (palace) towards the roads that lead to either Surakarta to the east, or Magelang to the north, as well as Mount Merapi. This is in itself is significant to many of the local population, the north south orientation between the palace and the volcano being of importance.

The street is the centre of Yogyakarta’s largest tourist district; many hotels and restaurants are located nearby. Sidewalks on both sides of the street are crowded with small stalls selling a variety of goods. In the evening several open-air streetside restaurants, called lesehan, operate along the street.

MOUNT BROMO EAST JAVA

Mount Bromo also Gunung Bromo, located in the Tengger Caldera, is one of the most popular tourist destination in Eat Java. It is an active and part of the Tengger massif, and even though at 2329 meters it is not the highest peak of the massif, it is the most well known.

The volcano is noted for its spectacular sunrises, and majestic views across to Semeru volcano in the south. Two people were killled during an eruption of Bromo on 8th June 2004.
Bromo is the only active crater in a caldera which contains seven eruptive centres. In 1838 the crater was filled with a lake.

Bromo will “serve” the senses in its breathtaking natural beauty of the sun-rise from its crest, exciting moment. Bromo can be accessed by a three-hour drive from Surabaya, then a pony ride from Ngadisari Village over the sea of sand to ascend 50 up hill-steps to reach the rim. The community that life in Bromo’s area is called Tenggerese. One of their unique traditional cultures.

SOLO or SURAKARTA

As one of the elegant city in Central Java with its lively character, Solo would be the heaven for the lover of the old Javanese arts and culture. Tawangmangu is located 40 km east of Solo, this recreational resort offers fresh weather, scenic views, swimming pools, bungalow style hotels and restaurants. Tawangmangu, a mountain resorts at an elevation of almost 1 km above sea level, which promises a cool escape from the city’s heat. It lies on the slopes of Mount Lawu, at an elevation of 1300 m above sea level. A cool splendid hill resort also on the slope of mount Lawu, at about 1400 M height above sea level. The road from Solo via Karangpandan is a fine trip thru magnificent green terraced hills.

Tawangmangu has all kind of facilities, hotel, camping ground, forest tourism, etc. The climate is fresh and one can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Other features include nearby temples, a national park and 40m in high waterfall of Grojogan Sewu.

It is a 100 M high waterfall; the pool at the bottom has very chilly water. In front of the gate to Grojogan Sewu, horses for rent are available to ride around Tawangmangu.

Tawangmangu, a peaceful mountain resort, with the cool climate and magnificent scenery, surrounded by pine forest and frequently covered with dense white mists. Also don’t miss to visit the park, with the beautiful natural Grojogan Sewu waterfall.

MERAPI VOLCANO

The internally giant smoking Mount Merapi is one of the active volcanoes found in Indonesia, present its peaceful and sleepy dense forest. Beyond this, there is vast deserted land lies with its deep and steep valley spread out among the mountain hills where sibilant pines and wild grass make out the dominating vegetation, all presents a very exciting panorama.

During its resting time of volcanic activities, it will enable those who have much interest in mountaineering to have fun and to make them more acquainted with the flora of its tropical rain forest. From the observation post located on Plawangan hill that can be reached through the forest resort on Kaliurang, you will see incredible sights of molten rocks mudding over the rim - sometimes accompanied with hot lava pouring out regularly and leaving along trail of smoke.

Mount Merapi is 2,920 m above sea level with an average temperature at noon and night is approximately 15-16 degrees. At present this resort is provided with an outstanding and modern golf course, which is settled on 800 meters of sea level. This golf course located only 30 minutes driving from the city of Yogyakarta.
